Holiday Club – Chaulden Junior School

The Good Shepherd team offer a children’s Holiday Club in a positive and engaging environment at: Chaulden Junior School, Hemel Hempstead, HP1 2JU. The club provides holiday childcare for families in the Hemel Hempstead area.

We accept children from all schools across Hemel Hempstead and the surrounding areas and follow appropriate guidelines to keep the children safe. The club offers excellent space and facilities for children from 4 to 12 years of age. All of our activities are tailored to meet the range of interests that the children have so that they can develop their skills, gain confidence, stay active and make new friends! 

Our clubs are Ofsted registered and offer quality, fun and affordable childcare. All staff are DBS checked to an enhanced level and carry out relevant training to equip them for their role.  We pride ourselves in creating a home away from home environment where children can have fun and enjoy themselves.

Fees:

Session Per Child Sibling Discount Weekly Bookings
Standard Day: 8:30am -4:00pm £25.00 5% Discount 10% Discount
Extended Day: 8:00am – 6:00pm £35.00 5% Discount 10% Discount

 

For each session parents must provide a nut-free packed lunch. For children staying for the ‘Extended Day’ breakfast will be offered until 8:30am and a snack will be provided at 4:00pm.

We accept Childcare Vouchers and Tax Free Childcare Payments.

 

We provide structured days during the Holidays to ensure that the Club runs smoothly and effectively. This includes set lunchtime and snack times and planned activities scheduled for each day.

Our dedicated team plan fun and stimulating daily activities for the children. Some of these activities include:

  • Explorative play
  • Sports tournaments/competitions
  • Weekly themed craft activities
  • Fancy Dress
  • Dance and musical play
  • Outdoor play
  • Trips to local parks/landmarks

The children also continue to have access to our regular Club facilities such as:

  • Board games
  • A range of craft supplies
  • Toy trains and cars
  • Lego building blocks
  • Puzzles
  • Books and colouring
  • Movie time

The team at Good Shepherd will ensure your children are safe and supported throughout each session. Children are encouraged to choose their own activity and these vary each session.  We have a large range of resources available, as well as excellent staff on hand to organise both individual and group games and activities.  Each week the children explore a different theme and there are craft activities to go with the theme for the week.

Our team have strong relationships with the School and effective communication between our team and the School is consistent. The club’s opening dates coincide with the school’s term dates.
